Hugh embarked on his journey with the Victoria Law Foundation in September 2019, initially stepping into the role of Principal Researcher. His impressive contributions and leadership skills saw him advance to the position of Research Director by August 2024. During his tenure, Hugh has been instrumental in spearheading the Foundation’s Data Mapping Project. This project represents a comprehensive investigation into the utilisation and effectiveness of civil justice data within Victoria, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the legal landscape through informed research. Further demonstrating his dedication to improving access to justice, he continues to work on the Public Understanding of Law Survey, aiming to bridge the gap between the public and the legal system. Hugh's academic and professional pursuits underscore his passion for advancing legal research and policy development.
