David Simpson

Michael Sykes, the founder of the firm, was admitted as a solicitor in the United Kingdom in 1969, where he gained experience working in a commercial law firm. In 1972, he relocated to Adelaide and initially practised as a commercial lawyer at Thomson & Co. After several years, he partnered with colleague Andrew Cannon, who later became a Magistrate in 1979. While Michael’s background is rooted in commercial law, his practice has also encompassed civil litigation and criminal law. Currently, he serves as a consultant to the firm, providing expert advice on commercial matters and civil litigation. Michael is well regarded within the Adelaide legal community for his thorough understanding of legal principles and his skill in analysing complex legal issues, contributing valuable insight to the firm’s handling of disputes and legal challenges.
