Peter Maatouk is the Principal of Maatouk’s Law Group and brings close to 30 years of experience in the legal profession. He was the youngest solicitor in New South Wales to establish his own practice, opening his first office in Liverpool. On the very day his practice commenced, he handled a High Court application on behalf of a client, demonstrating his readiness and commitment from the outset. Peter’s dedication to family is deeply personal; as a father of five young children, he faced the profound challenge of losing their mother to cancer at an early stage in their lives. This profound experience fuels his commitment to protecting family rights. When faced with the introduction of mandatory vaccination policies for HSC students in New South Wales private schools, Peter was motivated by a strong sense of justice to advocate for the rights and freedoms of individuals. What began as a response to local education policies evolved into a broader campaign defending the liberties of millions across Australia. Throughout this journey, Peter has provided extensive pro bono legal advice and support to thousands of Australians, opposing government measures he views as unjust. His efforts reflect a steadfast commitment to access to justice and the protection of individual rights.
