Jason Katsikaris is a Principal with extensive experience practising exclusively in family law since his admission in 2001. He is accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales in family law and is admitted to practice in both New South Wales and Queensland. Additionally, Jason is registered on the roll of solicitors in England and Wales. His practice encompasses a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, complex property settlements, de facto relationship issues, spousal maintenance, and child support. Jason has developed a strong reputation for handling complex financial cases, many of which involve international elements. While Jason is a seasoned litigator, he is committed to resolving matters amicably whenever possible. He is an accredited family dispute resolution practitioner, authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department, and is skilled in facilitating various forms of mediation such as legally-assisted mediation, shuttle mediation, multi-party mediation, and child inclusive mediation. He is also authorised to issue certificates under section 60I of the Family Law Act 1975, supporting clients who are meeting statutory requirements prior to court proceedings. Jason contributes to the community as a volunteer solicitor at the Inner City Legal Centre in Kings Cross. Outside of his legal career, he serves as the Musical Director and Conductor of Sydney City Brass. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws with Honours, and a Master of Family Law. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland, as well as the High Court of Australia.
