Eleanor Geller

Zulekha Sakrani is a dual qualified lawyer with extensive experience in both private practice and in-house legal roles. Since beginning her legal career in Pakistan in 2013, she has developed a broad skill set across various areas including property and commercial law, aviation law, dispute resolution, family law and immigration law. During her four years practising in Pakistan, Zulekha handled complex matters such as banking disputes, contentious property settlements and provided corporate advisory services on diverse commercial issues. She also served as in-house counsel for Pakistan’s second national carrier, where her work involved liaising with domestic and international stakeholders. At David Kam and Co Solicitors, Zulekha primarily practises commercial litigation, debt recovery, family and migration law, as well as strata property disputes. She has represented clients in proceedings before the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland. Additionally, she holds certification from the Migration Institute of Australia for completing the Immigration Essentials for Lawyers Program. Zulekha is committed to building strong client relationships and believes in guiding clients towards efficient and informed outcomes. She carefully evaluates each case to provide clear advice on its prospects and challenges from the outset, enabling clients to make well-considered decisions. Zulekha holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney, and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City University London. She also undertook Civil and Commercial Mediation training with ADR Group Bristol and Practical Legal Training at the College of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Migration Institute of Australia, the Sindh Bar Association, and The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Zulekha is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Sindhi.
