About Cody
Cody Beck serves as the Principal of Beck Law, a firm he established in early 2021 that has rapidly expanded to provide services across Australia. He frequently travels between key cities, including Cairns, Melbourne, and Perth. Cody's roots trace back to Tasmania, where his journey in law began with a combined Law and Commerce degree. While working at a large accounting firm, he discovered his true passion for law, a path long predicted for him due to his natural argumentative skills. At 20, after obtaining a Commerce degree from the University of Tasmania, Cody moved to the Gold Coast to pursue a Bachelor of Laws at Griffith University, completing his degree in 2008. Cody's legal career commenced at a family and personal injury firm on the Gold Coast. By 2009, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. His tenure at a mid-sized firm allowed him to gain substantial experience in family, injury, and criminal law. With a focus on these areas, Cody continues to apply his expertise at Beck Law. Founded in 2018, his practice has expanded to a national level, boasting a team of 11 staff members. In 2021, the firm underwent a rebrand following Cody's acquisition of a new office space in Surfers Paradise, strategically located opposite the beach. Cody is renowned for his courtroom presence and is dedicated to passionately advocating for his clients. His comprehensive experience covers all facets of family law, from binding financial agreements to parenting matters, property settlements, and domestic violence proceedings. In the realm of criminal law, Cody handles a variety of cases, including traffic issues, work licence applications, serious criminal charges, and bail applications, appearing in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts.
