Melinda Andrew

Melinda Andrew is a partner with extensive experience in insurance litigation, primarily assisting insurers in resolving Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims that involve complex issues of liability, quantum and statutory benefits. She is recognised for her strong negotiation skills, often securing early resolutions where this approach best serves her clients’ interests. Melinda advocates effectively for clients in interlocutory proceedings in both the District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales, as well as in assessments before the Personal Injury Commission. She regularly appears before the Commission and the District Court and has considerable experience managing administrative and appeal matters in the Supreme Court. Her practice focuses predominantly on working with insurers providing CTP insurance to motorists in NSW and self-insured corporations. Melinda has been involved in significant applications to the Supreme Court seeking administrative relief from decisions made by the Personal Injury Commission, with outcomes influencing broader scheme operations.
