Graydon Dowd was appointed Chief Executive Partner of Hall & Wilcox in July 2024. With over a decade of experience steering the firm’s national expansion, Graydon has notably led the firm’s internationally acknowledged commercial dispute resolution team for several years. In his role as Chief Executive Partner, Graydon is instrumental in setting the firm's strategic direction, guiding the partners and staff, maintaining key client relationships, and representing the firm publicly. He is deeply committed to the firm’s clients and people, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services. Graydon’s expertise lies in commercial disputes, where he has represented a wide range of national and international clients in complex litigation matters. His experience covers contract disputes, negligence claims, regulatory investigations including those by ASIC and ACCC, coronial inquests and commissions, as well as product liability. He provides pragmatic and commercially insightful advice, helping clients navigate strategic issues in multifaceted disputes. Notable engagements include representing Novak Djokovic in the widely reported legal matter concerning the cancellation of his visa ahead of the 2022 Australian Open. Graydon also acted for executives of Crown Limited across several high-profile inquiries and royal commissions. He has advised directors and officers involved in major class actions and ASIC investigations, represented Formula One's Sauber Motorsport AG in a significant Supreme Court case, and managed complex disputes related to prominent businesses such as Sushi Sushi.
