Joshua Brown

Joshua Brown is the Principal Solicitor of Four Bees Legal, based in the Lockyer Valley, where he combines his rural background with extensive legal experience to provide practical and accessible legal services. Raised in the Lockyer Valley and having worked alongside local vegetable and beef farmers during his school years, Joshua brings a grounded understanding of regional community needs to his legal practice. Joshua began his legal career after completing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Southern Queensland, alongside his early work as a law clerk and service in the Australian Defence Force reserve. He further qualified with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology. His time in the ADF included deployment to Malaysia, where he underwent jungle warfare training, an experience that has equipped him with resilience and strategic negotiation skills. After fifteen years dedicated to legal practice, including four years as a law clerk, Joshua took a break to establish Four Bees in a Pod, a chemical-free spice farming venture, before returning to law in early 2025. Four Bees Legal now offers legal services from a rural farmland setting, reflecting Joshua’s commitment to serving his local community beyond the conventional law office environment. Joshua is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He is an active member of the Queensland Law Society and the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland. His legal practice encompasses a comprehensive range of personal injuries matters, including motor vehicle accident claims, workers’ compensation, public liability, medical negligence, discrimination, sexual harassment, total and permanent disability, income protection, and military compensation claims. Joshua is also experienced in general litigation areas such as defamation, contract and debt disputes, minor civil disputes before QCAT, and employment law issues, including unfair dismissal, contract review and negotiation, workplace health and safety advice, and the preparation of workplace policies and documents. Joshua’s diverse background enables him to approach legal challenges with a practical, client-focused perspective that resonates with those in his rural community. In addition to his client work, he offers expert consultancy services to regional law firms on a flexible basis, assisting with drafting pre-court documents and pleadings, document review, liability investigations, research, and agency appearances.
